As our Client Director for Life Sciences in New York you will lead our management consulting Life Sciences function in the US. You will build effective relationships with new and existing clients, scoping and shaping opportunities to deliver transformation programmes and lead the management of Gate One client teams.


About the role:

  • Lead the growth of our Life Sciences consulting work in the US, growing existing accounts and originating business with new clients
  • Manage the portfolio of projects on key accounts
  • Lead and oversee client delivery on consulting engagements, with approx. 50% of your time being billable as a consultant
  • Build high performing teams to deliver the work that you sell
  • Offer oversight and direction on internal initiatives and team events
  • Be a senior member of the leadership team and contribute to the operational management of the firm


What you'll bring:

  • c.15-20yrs+ management consulting experience, with recent personal responsibility for leading the growth of a practice or capability within an established consulting firm
  • A track record of personal business development success, selling consulting engagements to Life Sciences clients. Responsibility for generating annual revenues of $2m+ and a strong personal network in the sector.
  • Expertise in leading transformation programmes for clients in the Life Sciences sector, with strong core consulting skills
  • A desire to have personal visibility in a growing firm
  • Developed habits in networking, growing accounts and generating new business
  • Dedication to mentoring and leading high performing teams


Our compensation philosophy aligns with our values and goes back to the core of why we founded Gate One. We believe in pay equity. Our structure was designed to be simple and transparent. This means that people at the same level receive the same base salary and comparable progression opportunities. We also offer a bi-annual bonus: a transparent profit share linked to company performance, plus a personal bonus. Additionally, we offer an uncapped sales bonus to all Gate One employees.


At Client Director grade, the base salary is $265,000.
