JOB SUMMARY

  • Responsible for the direct sales of STAAR Surgical’s products.
  • Using consultative selling skills, build relationships with surgeons and manage a territory to meet or exceed sales objectives set by sales management.
  • Actively participate in sales team activities.
  • Communicate in a timely and responsible manner with sales and marketing management, customers, and customer service.
  • Establish relationships with key decision makers in Hospitals and Medical Centers.
  • Execute marketing activities and promotions to maximize sales results.
  • Provide product support in the Surgery/OR.
  • Must conduct product consignment inventories in a timely fashion.
  • Travel over 50%.


EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree preferred.


EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 3 Yrs of OR Device experience.
  • Ophthalmology-specific background desirable.
  • Refractive-specific background and relationships very desirable.
  • Capital Equipment selling experience a plus.
  • Experience selling a new Business Model strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in managing and exceeding goals—Top 10% Performers preferred.


SKILLS

• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, analytical, and verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong work ethic and customer focus demonstrated by ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

• Ability to manage extensive travel, both air and land.

• Must have a valid driver license.
