Team IMPACT is a national nonprofit that promotes healthy social and emotional development for children living with serious and chronic illnesses, by matching them with college athletic teams. The team provides an extended support network for the children and families using a strengths-based, future-focused perspective. This two-year therapeutic mentoring program provides children with a true sense of belonging and focuses on building confidence and resilience while encouraging healthy behaviors.

To date, Team IMPACT has matched over 3,000 kids on over 750 campuses nationally, and 75,000 student athletes have participated in the program. Founded in Boston, MA in 2011, Team IMPACT has regional offices in Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Dallas.

Position Summary

The Chief of Staff will serve as a key member of the Team IMPACT’s leadership team, with broad visibility across the organization serving as a key strategic advisor and force multiplier to Team IMPACT’s CEO across the organization’s full executive functions, with a focus on strategy, growth, and operational excellence. The Chief of Staff will be empowered to influence and improve how we pursue our mission, to drive impact across Team IMPACT. The ideal candidate must thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess an entrepreneurial spirit and versatility to drive key projects forward both independently and in partnership with key stakeholders while optimally positioned for success. The Chief of Staff will be required to translate strategic conversations into actionable items and facilitate a culture of shared success and accountability. The Chief of Staff will be a thought partner to the CEO formulating plans to elevate Team IMPACT into a national powerhouse. Key Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Lead and oversee high-priority projects, ensuring efficient execution within established timelines.
  • Coordinate meetings with program participants, donors, partners, and internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, materials, and follow-up actions.
  • Attending meetings on behalf of the CEO, deliver synthesized reports and ensure priority requests are flagged.
  • Plan and direct administrative, financial, and operational activities on behalf of the CEO.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Serve as liaison between the CEO and internal and external stakeholders, including board members, donors, partners, and staff.
  • Draft communications as required (i.e., emails, memos, presentation decks) on behalf of the CEO to foster and enable streamlined, real-time communication.
  • Serve as a key contact for partners, address inquiries and provide updates as necessary.
  • Prepare compelling presentations and updates for key stakeholders.

Reporting and Performance Monitoring

  • Assist in tracking and reporting CEO level key performance metrics.
  • Generate monthly reports for executive stakeholders.

Corporate Development:

  • Support the Chief Revenue Officer and the National Director of Marketing, respectively, in building and maintaining strong relationships with current and prospective donors and corporate partners.
  • Coordinate donor and corporate development meetings and presentations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree desirable.
  • 3-5+ years of relevant experience in business strategy and operations.
  • Previous experience as a Chief of Staff or similar role is desirable.
  • Experience and passionate interest in Team IMPACT’S mission.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to oversee the advancement of multiple high-priority initiatives of varying timelines with minimal direction.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Possess the ability to connect and work with diverse stakeholders.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills demonstrated the ability to provide data-driven insights and distill decision-making clearly and concisely.
  • Strong initiative and desire to independently invent novel solutions in a lean, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Must be open-minded and eager to grow in the role supporting the CEO.
  • Resilience to take risks, bounce back from setbacks, and learn quickly.
