Account Executive - Lighting

Our client is a leader in the lighting and controls space that supports the distribution of industry products and services through a modern and transparent way of solution selling. They are hiring an individual to fill the role of Account Executive – Lighting.

The ideal candidate will have a robust knowledge of the construction sector and be well-versed in the distributor and contractor markets within West Texas and Southern New Mexico.

Focus:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve business goals within the assigned territory.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in the distributor and contractor markets.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market share.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to clients, ensuring they understand the benefits and applications of our lighting and controls solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify potential threats and opportunities.
  • Prepare and present sales proposals, quotes, and contracts to clients.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and performance metrics.
  • Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking activities to promote our brand and expand our market presence.

Skill Set:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in sales, preferably within the lighting and controls industry.
  • Deep understanding of the construction industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of the distributor and contractor markets in West Texas and Southern New Mexico.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
