Salary: Circa $100,000 plus OTE alongside a comprehensive healthcare package.


We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to play a pivotal role in driving our business growth. This dynamic position involves the creation and management of key customer accounts, as well as overseeing the bid management process.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Account Management: Establish and grow key customer accounts within the region through regular visits and lead generation.
  • Bid Management: Oversee the bid management process, including costing, quotations, and deadline management with the support of the Proposals and Estimating Team.
  • Sales Strategy: Support the Commercial Head in developing effective sales strategies.
  • Commercial Process Support: Aid in the internal commercial process, focusing on customer/opportunity development and sales.
  • Proposal Development: Manage the response to RFQs, ensuring technical proposals are detailed, transparent, and timely.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Conduct pre-bid reviews and analyze customer requirements to make informed bid/no bid decisions.
  • Customer Transition: Execute/support handover meetings with key stakeholders and assist the project team during the delivery phase.

Knowledge & Skills:


  • Strong problem-solving skills to analyze customer requirements and generate business cases.
  • Effective deadline management and workload prioritization.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Competence in managing material resources and pulling proposals together.


Experience:


  • A minimum of 7 years of experience, ideally within the Automation sector.
  • Experience in the Tier 1 environment with some exposure to OEMs.
