The Account Manager owns the commercial relationship with their assigned customers with the responsibility to provide excellent customer service, build trusted relationships, and grow sales and profitability.


This position requires exceptional communication skills, strong business acumen, leadership and problem-solving skills to ensure that the requirements of the business, contracts and customers are being met. This position has a direct impact on the revenue and profitability of California Amforge.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILI

  • Enter customer orders and initiate RFQ activity
  • Respond to requests for order status and information, with emphasis on accurate and timely response. Serve as both external and internal focal for escalation and resolution of issues
  • Manage pricing for contractual and transactional business, seeking to improve profitability
  • Solicit opportunities for new business and initiate new business RFQs, recommending pricing strategies and leading negotiations
  • Build close relationships within the customers’ organizations to favorably influence customers’ activities, priorities and business outcomes
  • Serve as an advocate for the customer, providing input to drive performance and practices to establish a trusted relationship and sales growth
  • Develop collaborative relationships with internal manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams, and knowledge of our processes and procedures.

QUALIFICA

  • Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in Aerospace industry in Sales, Business Development Program Management, or Business Management, or similar role
  • Flexibility for occasional travel to customers locally and outside of state
  • Demonstrated ability to manage customer relationships, contracts and proposals
  • Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills. Must be able to multi-task and meet deadlines/commitments in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong business acumen, including knowledge of pricing strategies and manufacturing and quality processes
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to grasp and communicate technical details
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint and advanced knowledge of Excel
