JONESWORKS, strategy-driven communications, marketing, and management agency, is seeking a driven, creative, and highly organized Director (Corporate & Executive Communications) in our NY office.


The ideal candidate is a seasoned communications leader with experience developing, mobilizing, managing, and executing impactful PR and marketing campaigns for corporate brand and executive clients. The candidate must be a strategic thinker, have an extensive client management background, and deeply understand the ever-changing media and industry landscape.In addition, the candidate must be a trusted advisor to internal and external teams and can effectively lead a team to consistently deliver on clients’ objectives, on time and within budget.


Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead creative and innovative, results-driven public relations programs to support client objectives
  • Collaborate with clients and key stakeholders to develop compelling brand narratives
  • Cultivate and maintain solid relationships with clients and media/partners as relevant to program needs to secure high-level features and placements that position clients as thought leaders and innovators in their industry
  • Work in collaboration with clients’ external brand partners and business enterprises to ensure effective integration of all communications efforts, identifying opportunities for amplification, synergy and efficiency
  • Oversee creation of original materials, such as press releases, media alerts, communications, press and marketing assets, features, exclusives, and Op-eds
  • Develop action plans for achieving and measuring activation success, including setting KPIs
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills and utilize appropriate tools to effectively track and measure success of activations, as well as inform strategic optimization recommendations in real time
  • Effectively package work to showcase JONESWORKS’ impact against client objectives, helping clients to merchandise our value to key stakeholders
  • Stay current on audiences, cultural trends, media landscape to inform strategic recommendations
  • Manage a team to deliver on clients’ critical success factors
  • Work closely with agency leadership to manage team resources and position team for growth
  • Support organic and new business growth
  • Develop accurate, profitable scopes of work and effectively manage budgets
  • Maintain sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information


Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in related field
  • 8+ years of relevant PR experience across a variety of corporate clients
  • Possess solid understanding of the corporate communications industry
  • Proven success in securing major media opportunities for key clients, brand development and development and execution of creative and strategic communication plans
  • Seamless management of all deliverables across spectrum of scope of work, with inputs from a variety of stakeholders
  • Extremely organized, with excellent verbal and written communication skills and an acute attention to detail
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once and lead team to meet deadlines
  • Must have a high degree of motivation and work well both as an individual and within team environment
  • Ability to manage a team through clear communication and direction
