Job Description
This is an integration engineer position that is required to work on customer site in Westlake, TX to provide a Resident Engineer (RE) support service to a tier-1 operator.
The role is full time (40 hours per week) and will require the engineer to be on customer site 5 days a week.
The solution to be supported is the Private 5G offering which is an end-to-end private cellular network (core, RAN and cloud) which the RE must be trained on to support for the duration of this assignment.
The preferred profile for this Engineer will include the following:
- Extensive RAN (radio access network) knowledge of Ericsson RAN solutions including radio Dot, micro/macro radios and basebands
- Knowledge of 4G and 5G (SA) core networks, preferably Ericsson core
- Sound understanding and rounded experience of IP network design
- Experience with transport network design and deployment
- Extensive experience in deploying 4G and 5G networks in customer environments
- Extensive experience troubleshooting network issues end-to-end
- Experience in analyzing log files and traces to determine root causes of issues in 4G and 5G networks
- Knowledge of public cloud design and experience with deploying SW from clouds preferred
- Experience with working closely with customers on their premises for extensive periods
- Ability to clearly communicate (both written and verbally) internally and with customers
- Experience in leading teams to troubleshoot network issues through resolution and in implementing software fixes as needed
