Role Summary:

The Lead Control & Instrumentation Engineer will provide essential support to a diverse team comprising R&D, Program Management, Core Networking, RF Engineering, Transport, and Technical/Training Support. This role is pivotal in facilitating the deployment of multi-technology wireless networks across various customer markets.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the commissioning of RAN equipment.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to assist in the remote commissioning of CDMA/LTE RAN systems.
  • Guide clients on integration, commissioning, and provide on-site support during network transitions.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to work in a 24/7 environment, including on-call duties.
  • Support Field and RF Engineers with parameter adjustments and alarm resolution.
  • Mentor junior commissioning engineers in their daily responsibilities.
  • Conduct detailed engineering and analytical assessments for the commissioning team.
  • Lead the resolution of issues while maintaining professionalism in all communications.
  • Utilize strong troubleshooting skills and mentor junior engineers effectively.
  • Provide constructive feedback on process improvements and operational efficiencies.
  • Ensure the maintenance of service levels and availability of all site functionalities.
  • Address routine technical challenges and respond to standard inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Make informed decisions within established guidelines and policies.
  • Accountable for the operational performance of the department and the resolution of complex issues.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, or related technical field) with 4-6 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in developing, training, and supervising junior commissioning engineers.
  • Prior involvement in commissioning engineering activities is essential.
  • Extensive knowledge of Wireless Network and Mobile Interworking elements.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain effective working relationships across various organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in English communication, both verbal and written, particularly in training contexts.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision to achieve team objectives.
  • Creative problem-solving skills in diverse and complex situations.
  • Frequent interaction with all organizational levels and external contacts is expected.
