Regional Sales Manager - Southeast

Our client, a leader in the lighting and controls industry, is seeking a driven and experienced Regional Sales Manager to oversee sales efforts within the Southeast territory. This role focuses on expanding the client’s market presence through distributors and manufacturer representatives, managing large-scale projects, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders in the lighting industry.


This role will be Remote and you must be based in the Southeast between Texas and North Carolina to apply.

Focus:

  • Meet and exceed yearly financial objectives for the assigned region.
  • Coordinate and direct the efforts of contracted lighting specialists across a designated area.
  • Build and strengthen professional networks within the design and lighting communities.
  • Deliver expert guidance on product applications and value propositions.
  • Monitor and forecast market dynamics to anticipate future business opportunities.
  • Introduce and promote the latest product innovations throughout the territory.
  • Represent the company at industry exhibitions and local business functions.
  • Provide insights on market trends and competitive offerings.
  • Ensure smooth interdepartmental cooperation to enhance customer experiences.


Skill Set:

  • Bachelors degree in business, engineering, or other relevant industry specialty.
  • Extensive sales experience in the commercial and/or specification lighting industry with experience selling lighting products through distributors and manufacturer representatives.
  • Firm background in the lighting/manufacturing/engineering space.
  • Strong relationship-building skills at all levels, with outstanding professionalism and commitment to customer experience.
  • Proven track record of meeting sales quotas.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and conduct sales presentations specifically tailored to clients’ needs.
  • Direct or parallel relationships with lighting designers within the region.
  • Existing senior-level relationships with architects, lighting designers, lighting rep agencies, distributors, a plus.
  • Proficient in relevant computer software and/or applications.
  • Quick learner with ambitious work ethic, entrepreneurial spirit, and a passion to succeed in the lighting industry.
  • Superior communication, organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 50% or more within the region.
