Inside Sales Representative

Job Summary:
The Inside Sales Representative (ISR) uses a consultative selling approach to customers. The ISR manages an existing book of business (BOB) and is focused on achieving retention goals by developing and implementing sound retention strategies, utilizing strong negotiation efforts to preserve business, securing and updating contract agreements, and growing revenues from existing customers. The expectation of the role is to maintain a net positive business performance through proactive outreach, account retention and revenue protection efforts.
Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.
o Customer interaction (external and internal), response & timely follow up
o Serve as the primary or secondary point of contact (as appropriate) for customer account management matters, establish and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction with internal and external customers, and build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
o Align Company products and services with customer needs, propose solutions that are compliant with appropriate local, state and federal regulations, and increase account penetration through consultative selling skills
o Negotiate, update, and renew customer service agreements to maximize profits by providing ongoing education of contract details and use of strong negotiation skills
o Resolve challenging customer requests and collaborate with others to resolve all customer escalations or issues
o Communicate rates, charges and service strategies with conviction as well as understand and effectively use customer incentives and concessions within appropriate profit targets and level of authority
o Collaborate with sales team to identify and grow opportunities within territories and engage additional business opportunities
o Support Broker team as point of contact
Administrative work
o Use Company provided tools accurately and consistently (i.e. HubSpot, Pricing Tools)
o Prepare reports as needed and/or handle general administrative duties as appropriate
o Manage schedule of proactive outbound customer contacts, ensuring satisfaction with our service and escalating issues as required
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or GED (accredited)
Experience: 2-5 years of business-to-business account management at a proficient level
Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required
o Ability to effectively convert customer cancellation requests into long term relationships
o Ability to effectively build relationships across a wide variety of business types
o Ability to multi-task and perform computer duties across multiple screens while on phone with customers addressing issues or concerns in a professional tone and temperament
o Proficient in time management and in computer skills – MS suite
o Positive attitude that enjoys assisting and providing solutions to others
o High impact communication in written and verbal manner
o Ability to adapt to change and manage multiple priorities
o Ability to negotiate effectively
o Ability to utilize sound business practices
o Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Work Environment
o Required to use motor coordination with finger dexterity (such as keyboarding, machine operation, etc.) most of the work day;
o (Rarely) Required to exert physical effort in handling objects less than 30 pounds
o Normal setting for this job is indoors, in an office setting.
o Work 8 hrs/day (with breaks) between 7:30 am to 5:30 pm as the business requires
Compensation
o Non-exempt Hourly position ranging from $18-$23/hr based on experience
o Monthly commission as earned based on performance

o Mulch and topsoil sales: Providing natural mulch and soil products for landscaping and gardening needs.
