Job Title: Director of Digital Products


Summary: The Director of Digital Products is responsible for planning and executing the entire product lifecycle for assigned products. This includes gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and coordinating with development, sales, marketing, and support teams to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. This role is crucial in ensuring the product aligns with the company’s overall strategy and goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Define and document the product vision and roadmap in consultation with business stakeholders.
  • Facilitate and drive alignment among key stakeholders.
  • Document requirements and specifications for existing and new products.
  • Manage cross-functional teams, including designers, developers, QA analysts, and potentially external partners.
  • Create and maintain release schedules from early prototypes through minimum viable products (MVP) to the first and subsequent releases.
  • Ensure assigned product initiatives are delivered within scope, schedule, budget, and quality levels consistent with customer expectations.
  • Coordinate with IT architects to align product and platform architectures and capabilities.
  • Bring the product to market by ensuring the company is prepared to deliver and service the product throughout its life cycle.
  • Coordinate with the DevOps team to ensure the product is continually monitored and maintained.
  • Define, track, and communicate key product performance indicators to track business results.
  • Maintain compliance with all legislative/statutory obligations and company policies (PCI, ADA, PII, etc.).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5-10+ years of relevant technology experience, including mobile application and website development.
  • 3+ years of experience working with agile software delivery teams (preferred).
  • Successful track record of delivering highly complex technology projects.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, proficient in root cause and impact analysis, interviews, focus groups, and other data gathering techniques.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Project.
  • Expert level proficiency in building project plans.
  • Proficient in employing project management techniques, tools, and methods.

Management Responsibilities: The Director of Digital Products manages a team of business analysts, designers, and QA analysts.

Language Ability: Must have strong reading, writing, and speaking skills to effectively communicate with managers and co-workers.

Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to develop and interpret charts.

Reasoning Ability: Able to perform under pressure, relying on independent judgment and knowledge to decide the best directions and solutions. The marketing coordinator must determine answers to questions and situations which may be socially or politically volatile, executing and communicating such solutions often in the public eye.

Computer Skills: Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Project.

Physical Demands:

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear.
  • Occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Considerable use of computer equipment, requiring effective use of a keyboard, mouse, and screen.
  • May be required to be on call to respond to issues or problems that occur in the normal course of business.
