Marketing Manager, Seller Center Channel

Summary
Our retail client is seeking an experienced marketer to develop and manage Marketplace-Seller Center communications capabilities, including programmatic banners and inbox messaging. In this role you will develop and execute marketing strategies to engage, inform, and support B2B seller audiences natively on the Seller Center channel – a platform where Marketplace sellers manage their accounts.
The Seller Center Marketing Manager will leverage data-driven insights, A/B testing, machine learning capabilities, and advanced marketing techniques to develop and implement effective marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a passion for clear, effective communication and a deep understanding of the needs of eCommerce sellers.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to engage and retain sellers.
- Design, implement, and analyze A/B test to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns. Use insights to inform strategy and improve marketing performance.
- Leverage machine learning models to personalize marketing efforts, predict seller behavior and improve marketing outcomes.
- Manage and optimize programmatic banner campaigns to drive seller engagements and success, ensuring banners are effectively targeted and aligned with overall marketing objectives.
- Develop and implement strategies for inbox messaging capabilities, facilitating effective communication between Walmart and sellers.
- Oversee the Seller Center Inbox capability, crafting and sending targeted messages to sellers. Ensure messaging is timely, relevant, and enhances the seller experience.
- Work collaboratively with product teams to outline product requirements and ensure successful development of marketing capabilities in support of strategic initiatives. Provide feedback and insights to influence product development and enhancements.
- Monitor and report on key performance metrics related to seller engagement and marketing effectiveness.
- Conduct market research to understand the needs and preferences of our seller audience, tailoring communications accordingly.
- Develop and maintain standards and documentation for Seller Center activations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in marketing, preferably in eCommerce or marketplace environments.
- Proven experience with A/B testing and data analysis.
- Familiarity with machine learning models and their application in marketing.
- Experience with programmatic marketing placements and management of banner campaigns.
- Strong understanding of inbox messaging capabilities and strategies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence product development.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in marketing analytics tools and software.
