Summary
Our retail client is seeking a Marketing Localization Manager to join their Marketplace/Seller Engagement team. This role will focus on creating and implementing localization strategies to ensure that their communications, marketing materials, and seller resources are effectively tailored to diverse international B2B audiences.
You will manage the localization and translation processes for a variety of marketing channels (email, in-app messaging, website), collaborate with various teams and ensure that their messaging resonates across different languages and cultures to drive seller engagement and improve the overall Marketplace experience.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute localization strategies for marketing communications, ensuring content is culturally relevant and resonates with international sellers.
- Oversee the end-to-end translation process of marketing materials, including websites, newsletters, email and in-app messaging, and seller education materials.
- Collaborate with marketing, education, operations, and product to ensure all seller-facing content is accurately localized.
- Manage translation and localization projects from start to finish, including coordinating with external vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Conduct market research to understand the needs and preferences of sellers in different regions.
- Work with Product / Engineering on developing and optimizing translation and localization capabilities.
- Partner with cross-functional leads in local markets on coordinating a consistent communications strategy and calendar.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and standards in all marketing communications. Develop and maintain localization guidelines, SOPs, and style guides to build scalable processes and ensure consistency in brand messaging.
- Ensure consistency and quality in all localized/translated content across multiple languages and platforms.Monitor and analyze the performance of localized content, making data-driven recommendations for improvement.
- Stay up to date with localization trends and tools to continuously enhance our processes. Establish and maintain scalable processes and manage localization budgets, timelines, and resources efficiently.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of experience in localization, translation, or a similar role.
- Experience with AI translation tools to manage large volumes of content translations.
- Proven track record of managing localization projects and working with cross-functional team.
- Strong understanding of cultural differences and sensitivity to diverse audiences.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple project simultaneously. Experience with localization tools and software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in one or more foreign languages is a plus (Chinese or Spanish preferred).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions.
