Custom Order Engineer
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment with medium voltage switch gear.
- Experience with SOLIDWORKS, AutoCAD.
- Experience with SAP; related systems a plus.
- Demonstrated technical and application knowledge of medium voltage switchgear.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, computer skills and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with spec’s and customer design information.
Responsibilities -
- Reconcile order specifications and lead time requests of incoming orders.
- Verify that complete and accurate order entry information.
- Support field sales on post order entry issues.
- Prepare Manufacturing Information (MI) for less complex switchgear lineups, utilizing SOLIDWORKS and Plant Order Management process.
- Interface with customers, channel partners, Field-Sales, through participation in plant visits, training support and customer inspections and factory acceptance test.
- Work with the project manager to schedule orders for production, reconcile customer requested ship dates with product line standard lead times and manufacturing capacity.
- Develop scope of work and set schedules.
