IT Systems Administration: Job Description

This role is responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of the business computer systems, servers, and data security systems. This includes managing the upgrade and installation of new hardware or software, performing troubleshooting to address any problems with the system, and asses’ viruses and potential threats to the company’s network.


Job Responsibilities

  • Create and manage user accounts, groups, OU's, GPO's, DNS, and DHCP
  • Create and maintain Active Directory Federation Services as an identity provider with Oracle Cloud
  • Azure Active Directory Administration, assigning Office 365 licenses to users
  • Create and maintain OpenDNS for DNS-layer security using policies for multiple organizations
  • Install, configure, update, and upgrade VMware and Hyper-V virtual environments
  • Create, manage, and upgrade virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI)
  • Monitor infrastructure resources to maintain a fault tolerant environment
  • Manage VMware vSphere replication for Disaster Recovery Services
  • Create backup schedules, retention policies, and offsite replications
  • Perform restore jobs
  • Configure, update, and maintain all Firewalls
  • Setup Site-to-Site VPN connections
  • Setup VPN access for Cisco AnyConnect client
  • Manage Elfiq Link Balancer for multiple internet sources
  • Configure and maintain Dell network switches
  • Manage external domains and their DNS records
  • Create email address policies, resource rooms, distribution groups, and mailbox for users
  • Manage Email Encryption service using ZixGateway
  • Create users and assign permissions for all QuickBooks databases
  • Setup users for Create-A-Check and Paper Tiger
  • Assign Adobe licenses using Adobe Admin Console
  • Update and Manage Jonas
  • Setup and manage FOB access for different companies
  • Answer calls when tier 1 and tier 2 support are unavailable
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any incidents elevated to tier 3
  • Purchase media and Rights for movies when requested to show for an event
  • Purchase and setup any hardware approved by Jorge (scanners, ipads, printers, etc.)
