If yes, this might be the perfect job for you. Our client, who is in downtown Houston, is looking for an experienced Real Estate Paralegal to join their team. You will have the opportunity to work on high-profile cases, collaborate with a team of exceptional legal professionals, and contribute to the success of their clients.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist in drafting, managing, and organizing documents related to real estate transactions, including escrow instructions, title and survey reviews, entity formations, UCC searches, local transfer requirements, and due diligence.
  • Create and utilize procedures to manage large transactions, attend closings, manage the closing room, coordinate workflows, and ensure proper execution of closing documents.
  • Draft closing documents such as basic agreements, REA Estoppels, SNDAs, and third-party consents. Compile information and prepare schedules and exhibits to agreements.
  • Assist with post-closing tasks, including mailings, closing binders, and transfer agreements, ensuring all obligations are met.
  • Oversee the preparation and filing of various documents, including amendments, closing documents, and opinions for partner approval.
  • Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to mid- and entry-level paralegals and clerks.
  • Keep timely and accurate timekeeping records.

Experience:

  • At least 6years of real estate paralegal experience within a law firm, with a strong understanding of complex real estate issues.
  • Must have experience with managing the survey, title, and closing process
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • A paralegal certificate from an ABA-certified program is required
  • Proficiency with Windows-based software and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
