Responsibilities:

The Learning & Development Manager will:

  • Develop, coordinate, and implement learning and development programs across the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and accreditation training standards.
  • Supervise department staff and provide direction.
  • Collaborate on new hire orientation to meet state and federal guidelines.
  • Develop training materials using various media.
  • Create educational curriculums and identify learning opportunities.
  • Implement skills-first learning to enhance manager and employee capabilities.
  • Coach and train managers and supervisors in employee development.
  • Facilitate continuing professional development education with departments.
  • Manage Learning Management System (LMS) and training staff.
  • Plan and develop didactic and skills-based training programs.
  • Coordinate educational programs for hospital and transplant community.
  • Maintain clinical staff resources and library.
  • Evaluate training program effectiveness through ongoing assessments.
  • Manage and evaluate training vendors and consultants.
  • Ensure continuous improvement plans are available to all employees.
  • Review skills competency checklists and compliance processes.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Manage Learning and Development Specialist.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience in adult-based learning and education.
  • 3+ years of management experience

Preferred:

  • Recent experience in medical/healthcare field preferred.
