Job Description:


A top Civil Engineering firm in the San Diego, CA area is looking for a Project Coordinator to join the team. This would be a Civil Engineering Project Coordinator role where the employee would get a ton of exposure into the Civil Engineering space- working closely with city of SD submittals, manage civil engineer work load, organize submittals, log onto city sites, submit documents, checking with the city, coordinate plans, and even get exposure into hand drafting in CAD. The employee will help in assisting all of the Project Managers on site, communicate updates/request documents/pass along information with the City of San Diego, track civil engineering plan progress, and organize plans for the site. This person will also work directly with the President of the company and help out with coordination with Soils techs, engineers, and even work with the Social Media team. This candidate needs to have great inter-personal skills, be extremely organized, patient, and professional. The candidate does not need to have prior civil engineering experience, as they will be taught everything on the job.


Required Skills and Experience:

  • 1-2 years of project coordination working experience or a recent grad with a college degree
  • Great interpersonal skills and comfortable communicating with executive clients
  • Extremely organized and a strong attention to detail
  • Great professionalism and eager to learn a new role
  • Organize submittals, log onto city sites, submit documents, checking with the city, coordinate plan checks,
  • Well versed in organization, excel, good people skills, they are the face of the company


Nice to Have

  • Exposure to civil engineering
  • Drafting experience in CAD or wanting to gain Hand Drafting experience
