WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and strategic-minded Director of Human Resources to join our organization. As the Director of Human Resources, you will lead the development and execution of human resources strategies and initiatives to support our overall business objectives. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of HR, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, training and development, compensation and benefits, payroll and HR compliance. This is a critical role that will drive our company's culture, employee engagement, and organizational growth.


Responsibilities:

Ø Develop and implement HR strategies: Collaborate with the executive team to define and execute HR strategies and best practices aligned with the overall business objectives. Provide expertise and guidance on HR-related matters, including talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, and succession planning.

Ø Talent acquisition and retention: Develop effective recruitment and retention strategies to attract and retain top talent. Oversee the recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, and selection of qualified candidates. Collaborate with hiring managers to ensure effective onboarding and integration of new hires.

Ø Employee relations: Foster positive employee relations by implementing fair and consistent policies and practices. Address and resolve employee concerns, conflicts, and disciplinary issues. Promote a positive work environment that encourages open communication and collaboration.

Ø Performance management: Develop and implement performance management programs, including performance evaluations, goal setting, and development plans. Provide guidance and support to managers in effectively managing and developing their teams.

Ø Training and development: Identify training and development needs across the organization and design and implement programs to enhance employee skills and competencies. Coordinate and oversee leadership development initiatives.

Ø Compensation and benefits: Oversee the development and administration of competitive compensation and benefits programs. Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Conduct regular benchmarking to ensure our compensation and benefits packages remain competitive.

Ø HR compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws, regulations, and company policies. Keep abreast of changes in employment laws and regulations and make necessary updates to policies and procedures to maintain compliance.

Ø Employee engagement and culture: Develop strategies to promote employee engagement, satisfaction, and a positive company culture. Implement initiatives to recognize and reward employees for their contributions. Foster diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity within the organization.

Ø HR analytics and reporting: Establish HR metrics and analytics to measure the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives. Prepare and present HR reports to the executive team, highlighting key findings and recommendations.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to solve complex problems and make sound decisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • HR certification (e.g., SPHR, SHRM-SCP) is a plus.
