Position summary: Responsible for performing various duties to support the Commercial Real Estate Department; coordinating work within the department, as well as with other departments; complying with operating policies and procedures established for this position. Reporting pertinent information to the immediate supervisor; responding to inquiries or requests for information.


Qualifications required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field; or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • 5 years experience in a commercial real estate lending environment preferred
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office, etc.) and ability to adapt to new software systems
  • High degree of attention to detail with financial and legal documents
  • Knowledge of banking systems including primary databases and online systems
  • Ability to multitask
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Flexible approach to new assignments


Essential functions and responsibilities:

  • Provides service support to commercial real estate loan officers by assisting with all client servicing needs from preparing for loan settlements through life of loan with loan servicing
  • Performs diverse, advanced and confidential administrative support functions
  • Services internal and external customers with excellent customer service
  • Ensures compliance to government regulations and bank policies and procedures
  • Develops and maintain existing and new client relationships with commercial real estate developers and investors
  • External Customer support – provides external customer support for inbound servicing inquiries related to any of the client’s accounts
  • Coordinates closing of real estate loans, communicating with the commercial real estate loan officers, borrower, attorneys, title representatives, and construction consultants to assure the loan is closed and documented in accordance with the credit approval
  • Coordinates and analyzes construction loan advance requests and appropriate backup documentation as presented by the customer, including construction inspection reports, title bring downs, and other relevant construction documentation; focusing on construction related risk, budget adequacy, and adherence to loan documentation, takeout agreement and lease requirements
  • Monitors loan portfolio and assists in reporting of various loan quality measurements including: reviewing insurance, monitoring interest reserves, document exceptions, preparing reports, financial information gathering, tickler system maintenance, and ongoing review of expiring loan extensions.
  • Organizes and prepares loan files within bank’s repository for audit review. Ensures appropriate support is included for loan files per request in accordance with loan approval

  • Coordinates specific work tasks with other employees within the department as well as with other departments in order to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information

  • Communicates with management and coworkers in order to integrate goals and activities
  • Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the Bank’s compliance with all regulatory requirements, e.g. Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act, etc.
