Location: Boston, MA

Salary: up to 140K DOE


I am working with a premier commercial general contractor in Boston,, known for their excellence in delivering high-quality projects across various sectors including retail, automotive, restaurants, education, and financial construction. They are seeking a talented and experienced Estimator to join their dynamic team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects in retail, automotive, restaurants, education, and financial sectors.
  • Analyse project plans, specifications, and other documents to understand project scope and requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
  • Solicit and review subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure competitive pricing.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and other industry professionals.
  • Present cost estimates to clients and stakeholders in a clear and professional manner.
  • Assist in value engineering and cost control efforts throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Stay current with industry trends, construction methods, and local market conditions.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Estimator in the commercial construction industry. 2-3 years experience
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and cost estimating principles.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
