They are in search of a skilled and seasoned Cost Estimator to become a vital part of their innovative team.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Generate comprehensive cost estimates for commercial construction initiatives across various sectors including retail, automotive, dining, education, and financial services.
- Examine project plans, specifications, and related documents to fully grasp project scope and requirements.
- Work closely with project managers, architects, and engineers to collect essential information for precise estimates.
- Request and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids to guarantee competitive pricing.
- Establish and nurture relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and other industry stakeholders.
- Deliver cost estimates to clients and stakeholders in a clear and professional manner.
- Support value engineering and cost management efforts throughout the project lifecycle.
- Remain informed about industry trends, construction techniques, and local market dynamics.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience as a Cost Estimator in the commercial construction sector. 2-3 years of experience is preferred.
- In-depth understanding of construction processes, materials, and cost estimation methodologies.
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
- Exceptional analytical and mathematical capabilities.
- Meticulous attention to detail and precision.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting and manage multiple projects concurrently.
- A bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
