Primary Responsibilities:

  • Generate comprehensive cost estimates for commercial construction initiatives across various sectors including retail, automotive, dining, education, and financial services.
  • Examine project plans, specifications, and related documents to fully grasp project scope and requirements.
  • Work closely with project managers, architects, and engineers to collect essential information for precise estimates.
  • Request and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids to guarantee competitive pricing.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and other industry stakeholders.
  • Deliver cost estimates to clients and stakeholders in a clear and professional manner.
  • Support value engineering and cost management efforts throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Remain informed about industry trends, construction techniques, and local market dynamics.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Cost Estimator in the commercial construction sector. 2-3 years of experience is preferred.
  • In-depth understanding of construction processes, materials, and cost estimation methodologies.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
  • Exceptional analytical and mathematical capabilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and precision.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting and manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • A bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
