TEC Group's client, an industrial equipment manufacturer, is seeking a skilled Mechanical Drafter to add to their team.


Mechanical Design/Drafter with proficiency in SolidWorks to design components and assemblies for industrial machinery, including those with hydraulic systems. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in mechanical drafting, with experience working with engineering orders. This role requires strong technical skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams to deliver high-quality designs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design & Drafting: Work with designers and develop components and assemblies using SolidWorks for various machinery parts, including industrial machinery.
  • Mechanical Drafting: Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings for manufacturing, ensuring accuracy in measurements, tolerances, and materials.
  • Engineering Orders: Interpret and work with engineering orders (EOs) to make necessary changes or updates to designs.
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including BOMs (Bill of Materials), drawings, and manuals.


  • Qualifications:
  • Education: Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Drafting, or a related field preferred
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of mechanical drafting experience, preferably with industrial machinery.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in SolidWorks and experience with other CAD software like AutoCAD is a plus.
  • Hydraulics Knowledge: Experience in designing machinery or systems with hydraulic components is highly desirable.
  • Engineering Orders: Familiarity with working on and revising designs based on Engineering Orders (EOs).
