Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Junior Facilities BIM Revit Modeler/Drafter to join our team at Jacobs. As a key member of our Engineering Design team, you will be responsible for supporting the drafting and 3D modeling efforts of new and existing building infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Engineering Design team in drafting and 3D modeling efforts of new and existing building infrastructure, including Architecture, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire systems.
- Update existing BIM files using Autodesk Revit software as directed.
- Gather and submit quarterly, semi-annual, and annual BIM documentation as directed.
- Conduct site surveys to confirm drawing accuracy and make appropriate updates to reflect site conditions as required.
- Assist in the documentation of building systems upgrades, repairs, and remodeling projects.
- Conduct site visits to monitor ongoing projects and document design changes that occur during project implementation.
- Assist during project closeout by working closely with the project team members to ensure all efforts pertaining to project design documentation are completed within project specific deadlines.
Requirements:
- Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 4 years of general experience; Associate's degree and 2 years of general experience; Bachelor's degree and 0 years of general experience.
- Must have 2 years of directly related experience.
- Must have a basic knowledge of building infrastructure systems.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Programs.
- Must be able to understand technical data.
- Must have experience with 3D modeling software.
- Must be able to climb ladders.
- Must be able to lift 40lbs.
- Must be able to work below raised floors/restrictive spaces.
- Must have, or obtain, an active DOD Secret Security Clearance.
Desired Requirements:
- Have experience in Architectural, Structural, Mechanical and/or Electrical design for construction.
- Have work experience within DOD environments.
- Have experience with Autodesk drafting/modeling software. (Revit and/or AutoCAD).
- Familiarity with engineering/design codes and principles.
- Have experience using computer aided drafting (CAD) and/or modeling applications.
