We are seeking a talented Controls Engineer with 2-3 years of experience to join our team in Columbus, OH. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, programming, and troubleshooting of control systems within automotive manufacturing environments. This role requires experience with PLCs, HMIs, and troubleshooting automation systems.


Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement control systems for automated equipment and processes.
  • Develop and modify PLC and HMI programs (Allen Bradley, Siemens, or similar platforms).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in electrical control systems, PLCs, and related automation equipment.
  • Perform root cause analysis for system failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing processes and equipment efficiency.
  • Integrate sensors, actuators, and control devices to optimize production systems.
  • Support production teams with machine commissioning, startups, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Create and maintain electrical schematics using AutoCAD or similar tools.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in controls engineering within manufacturing or automotive environments.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen Bradley, Siemens) and HMI development.
  • Experience in troubleshooting control systems and automation equipment.
  • Knowledge of electrical schematics and AutoCAD.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with robotics, motion control, and SCADA systems.
  • Familiarity with automotive industry standards and production processes.
  • Understanding of Ethernet/IP, Profibus, or other industrial communication protocols
