We have an excellent opportunity for a Planner/Scheduler to join our team in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Our ideal candidate will manage the scheduling and timeliness of the production process to meet customer deadlines. The Planner/Scheduler will support administrative process of planning workflow.


Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for the planning of production and timely release of production orders and document packages to meet contractual delivery dates
  • Monitor material supply flow and identifies shortages or bottlenecks that may arise over the planning horizon
  • Review the output from MRP to control production priorities and schedule changes
  • Distribute production schedules and production orders to departments, as needed
  • Duties include input and governance of data that details the process for distributing production, work, and shipment schedules
  • Perform forward and backward scheduling per MRP action as rescheduling is needed
  • Collaborate frequently with key stakeholders (sales, purchasing, manufacturing, operations, logistics, PMO) to co-ordinate the flow of work
  • Act as primary interface for providing estimated ship dates and feedback to Sales team and operation functions on a regular basis
  • Participate in S&OP initiatives and planning and operation meetings
  • All other duties as assigned


Qualities:


  • Strong analytical skills, organizational skills, and culture of attention to detail
  • Production and Processing – Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, capacity planning, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacturing and distribution of goods
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt, be flexible, be resourceful and maintain enthusiasm and focus under demands of a fast paced, multi-cultural, and often changing environment
  • Strong interpersonal and team skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under time constraints
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Computer literate with experience in MS Office, specifically MS Excel and other database programs
  • Ability to effectively interface with various departments like Sales, Warehouse, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality
  • Good understanding of MRP system and functions capabilities


Preferred Education/Certifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree preferred from an accredited university of college, or equivalent of 8 years minimum experience directly related to production planning/scheduling in a manufacturing environment
