Description Responsibilities:
1. Ensure all employees understand and abide by all Company safety rules, regulations, and policies. Ensure that safe and sanitary working conditions are maintained in the facility in accordance with Company standards, as well as state & federal laws and regulations. Ensure all employees understand their OSHA rights.
2. Schedule, and coordinate preventive and predictive maintenance requirements with maintenance management and maintenance staff and outside contractors, while minimizing impact on corrective maintenance and operations.
3. Plan and coordinate availability and pre-positioning of parts for maintenance work; make recommendations regarding consolidation and reduction of inventory and use of just-in-time inventory.
4. Estimate labor required to complete work orders and communicate this information to maintenance management in a timely manner.
5. Administer the Maintenance Management System to ensure that all relevant equipment maintenance data are keyed into the system in a timely manner; maintain detailed archive files on plant equipment.
6. Work with the Supervisors and other pertinent personnel to set up and implement practices and procedures for proper distribution of all parts/supplies.
7. Prioritizing with the Lead Supervisor all the work that needs completed. Print off all corresponding paperwork then inserting them into the spread sheets for each shift supervisor to have the hourly crews complete for the shift.
8. Receive in all workorders and completed PMs from the supervisors of the shifts.
9. Audit PMs and workorders, verifying that they are filled out correctly. If there are deficiencies mark them and return them to the lead supervisor.
10. Write PMs as needed on new equipment as the machines are being installed. Preventative maintenance plans set in motion as directed by lead supervisor and Maintenance superintendent.
11. Revise the PMs as noted on PMO reports and type them into the computer system as revisions and updates.
12. Meet with the Lead Supervisors and Production Managers weekly on the weekend workload of the facility / maintenance needed on the machines to schedule crews accordingly.
13. Meet weekly with Maintenance Supervisors on each shift and the Lead Supervisor of Maintenance to collectively cover and track facility downtime and root cause analysis of all machinery to assist maintenance teams in preventative maintenance programs.
14. This position also will be utilized as a weekend coverage in rotation with maintenance supervisors covering the role of supervision of maintenance hourly millwrights and electricians.
Qualifications (education, experience, skills, personal attributes):
1. Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
2. 6 years experience in the Maintenance area and inventory systems desired.
3. Good organizational skills a must.
4. Must be willing to work weekends, extended hours, or other shifts as necessary.
5. Must maintain a professional appearance/demeanor.
6. Must have basic computer skills (three years experience preferred).
7. Must maintain good performance and attendance records.
8. Must have good communication skills and be able to work with a variety of different people.
