Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Maintenance Planner to join our team at Victaulic. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our maintenance activities, coordinating with maintenance staff and outside contractors, and maintaining accurate records of equipment maintenance data.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensure Compliance and Safety: Ensure all employees understand and adhere to company safety rules, regulations, and policies. Maintain safe and sanitary working conditions in accordance with company standards, state, and federal laws and regulations.
  2. Schedule and Coordinate Maintenance: Schedule and coordinate preventive and predictive maintenance requirements with maintenance management and maintenance staff, minimizing impact on corrective maintenance and operations.
  3. Inventory Management: Plan and coordinate the availability and pre-positioning of parts for maintenance work, making recommendations for inventory consolidation and reduction.
  4. Labor Estimation and Communication: Estimate labor required to complete work orders and communicate this information to maintenance management in a timely manner.
  5. Maintenance Management System Administration: Administer the Maintenance Management System to ensure accurate and timely entry of equipment maintenance data, maintaining detailed archive files on plant equipment.
  6. Supply Chain Management: Work with supervisors and other personnel to establish and implement practices and procedures for the proper distribution of parts and supplies.
  7. Work Prioritization and Scheduling: Prioritize work with the lead supervisor, printing and distributing necessary paperwork for hourly crews to complete.
  8. Work Order and PM Auditing: Receive and audit work orders and completed PMs, verifying accuracy and completeness, and revising as necessary.
  9. Preventative Maintenance Planning: Write PMs as needed for new equipment, implementing preventative maintenance plans as directed by the lead supervisor and maintenance superintendent.
  10. PM Revision and Update: Revise and update PMs based on PMO reports, typing revisions and updates into the computer system.
  11. Weekly Meetings and Reporting: Meet with lead supervisors and production managers to schedule crews and track facility downtime, and meet with maintenance supervisors to discuss root cause analysis and preventative maintenance programs.
  12. Weekend Coverage: Provide weekend coverage in rotation with maintenance supervisors, supervising maintenance hourly millwrights and electricians.
Requirements
  1. Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
  2. Experience: 6 years of experience in maintenance and inventory systems desired.
  3. Organizational Skills: Good organizational skills are essential.
  4. Availability: Must be willing to work weekends, extended hours, or other shifts as necessary.
  5. Professional Appearance: Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
  6. Computer Skills: Must have basic computer skills, with three years of experience preferred.
  7. Performance and Attendance: Must maintain good performance and attendance records.
  8. Communication Skills: Must have good communication skills and be able to work with a variety of different people.
