Role: AMS Workday Financial Accounting Lead

Location: Remote role with Occasional travel

Working hours : PST ( CST/MST/PST candidate only)

Duration: 12 month with possible extension


Position Summary

Are you an experienced financial accountant and a passionate pioneer in technology who wants to work in a collaborative environment? As an experienced Workday Financial Accounting lead you will have the ability to share new ideas and collaborate on projects as a consultant without the extensive demands of travel. Project Delivery Model (PDM) is a talent model that is tailored specifically for long-term, onsite client service delivery.

Work you’ll do/Responsibilities

  • This is a lead role in Workday Finance with a solid focus in Workday Financial Accounting. A workday financials certified resource who has extensive experience in this area and can understand client requirements and be able to also offer options and/or workarounds if needed.
  • This role will be responsible for primarily working with the client who is over Financial Accounting. It is important that the individual understands requirements from the client, can openly discuss options and then configure/test/migrate to production. This individual will be expected to hold weekly meetings with the client to review open items, new issues, manage workload though the ServiceNow ticketing system, as well as be able to be a backup to the other team members on this client.
  • Communicate regularly with Engagement Managers (Directors), project team members, and representatives from various functional and / or technical teams, including escalating any matters that require additional attention and consideration from engagement management
  • Independently and collaboratively lead client engagement workstreams focused on improvement, optimization, and transformation of processes including implementing leading practice workflows, addressing deficits in quality, and driving operational outcomes


Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Workday Certified Financials
  • Proven years of experience in implementing Workday Financial
  • Strong experience with finance transformation, process improvement and ERP implementation initiatives and projects
  • Prior AMS experience, ability to prioritize and solid presentation skills
  • College Degree or equivalent


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Workday Financials Certified
  • 2-3 Years working experience in Financial Accounting and FDM
  • Exposure to other workstreams including FDM
