Position Overview:

This position is perfect for an individual who is detail-oriented, analytical, and possesses a deep understanding of accounting practices. Key Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Senior Accountant, your duties will include:
1. Supervising the preparation and evaluation of financial statements in accordance with regulatory standards.
2. Overseeing all accounting functions including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
3. Coordinating and executing the preparation of compliance reports.
4. Investigating technical accounting matters for adherence to regulations.
5. Assisting in the month-end and year-end closing processes.
6. Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and reporting.
7. Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to reinforce internal controls.
8. Conducting thorough bank reconciliations and managing cash flow effectively.
9. Collaborating with the finance team to facilitate annual audits.
10. Assessing financial operations to recommend best practices, identify challenges, and strategize solutions to enhance organizational efficiency.
11. Providing analytical support to management in making critical business decisions by presenting key financial insights.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Senior Accountant role should have:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
2. At least 3 years of experience in a comparable position, preferably within the finance sector.
3. Proficiency in accounting software, especially QuickBooks.
4. Comprehensive knowledge of financial statement preparation, bank reconciliation, cost accounting, inventory accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
5. Familiarity with retail and wholesale accounting practices.
6. Strong understanding of cash flow management and general ledger operations.
7. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with the capability to perform under tight deadlines.
8. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management abilities.
9. Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
10. CPA or CMA certification is advantageous.
