We are currently in search of a Lead Financial Accountant to become a vital part of our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the complete cycle of general ledger accounting for designated legal entities, which includes recording monthly journal entries, completing all month-end and quarter-end accounting activities, reconciling balance sheets, and preparing financial statements.
  • Continuously review the accuracy and completeness of financial data at both the legal entity and consolidation levels, addressing and resolving issues as necessary.
  • Prepare financial statement packages, management reports, and analyses on a quarterly basis and as needed.
  • Oversee the accounts payable process to ensure timely invoice payments according to vendor agreements, including reviewing and initiating payment batches and resolving inquiries with the AP team.
  • Supervise the travel and expense reimbursement process, along with corporate credit card reconciliations, ensuring proper accounting for these transactions.
  • Assist in departmental budgeting and perform ongoing budget versus actual analysis and monitoring.
  • Actively engage in year-end audits and quarterly reviews, including the preparation of audit schedules and related documentation.
  • Maintain and document robust internal controls within accounting processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to team members, promoting their professional development.
  • Support general and ad hoc projects as required.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in general accounting and financial reporting, including journal entry posting, account reconciliations, and financial analysis.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • CPA certification is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and the application of accounting principles.
  • Proficient in month-end closing processes and reporting.
  • Experience with ERP and Accounts Payable systems (preferably NetSuite and Tipalti).
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with data analysis tools like Power BI are preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to identifying challenges and proposing innovative solutions.
  • Highly motivated, efficient, and capable of prioritizing tasks while meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and thorough.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and protect the organization's interests.
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

Compensation Range: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00, plus discretionary bonus.

This is a hybrid role, with a preference for candidates located within commuting distance of our office.
