Role Purpose

To lead the successful execution of complex Aerospace & Defence projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and fostering collaboration across teams, ultimately driving timely delivery, adherence to budget, and exceptional quality standards.

The Opportunity

  • Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, and timelines in accordance with program objectives.
  • Collaborate with senior management and stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables that are aligned with overarching business objectives.
  • Ensure the completion of program deliverables within specified timeframes, budget constraints, and quality standards.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the seamless execution of project plans, effectively coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to guarantee project success.
  • Provide regular and comprehensive status reports to senior management and stakeholders, offering insights into progress against project goals, identified risks, and mitigation plans.
  • Proactively develop and maintain risk management plans, identifying potential program risks and issues and taking pre-emptive measures to address them.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout the program, actively seeking opportunities to enhance processes, reduce costs, and elevate customer satisfaction.
  • Manage and nurture relationships with customers, suppliers, and partners, fostering open communication and collaboration throughout the entire program lifecycle.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant policies, standards, and regulations governing Aerospace & Defense projects.

Your Skills and Experience:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification
  • Significant industry experience, with demonstrated success in managing complex projects.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent project management skills, including project planning, budgeting, and risk management.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Experience with program management tools and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with senior management, stakeholders, and customers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify, analyse, and resolve complex issues.
  • Experience in government contracts and regulations.
