Klement' s is looking for passionate people interested in working in the manufacturing industry and making an impact on the community around them. Klement Sausage Co. produces a variety of hand crafted sausage products, including but not only, brats, snack sticks, and summer sausage.


We are currently seeking a Production Scheduler to join our team and contribute to the achievement of our organizational goals. The Production Scheduler will be responsible for coordinating all production planning activities within our operations. This role will involve daily oversight of production, inventory management, and warehousing, The position reports directly to the Vice President of Supply Chain and demands exceptional communication skills, as it serves as the central point of contact between Sales, Production, and Shipping. The ideal candidate for this role will be an advocate for best practices in production planning and standardization. Additional responsibilities for the

Production Scheduler include:


  • Assist in developing Master Schedule requirements based on demand forecasts, plant capacity, and historical data.
  • Interact with production and sales personnel to provide updates and advice based on progress and new developments.
  • Address volume and manufacturing changes as needed to meet customer requirements.
  • Update and distribute weekly production schedules based on received sales orders.
  • Communicate with the sales team regarding special or unique orders.
  • Monitor inventories of raw materials, work in process, and finished goods to minimize costs and achieve plant inventory goals.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of tools that enhance production planning capabilities.
  • Ensure accurate data is collected over time for analysis.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and implement measures for improvement.
  • Drive continuous improvement through training and strategic planning.
  • Maintain accurate data on KPIs for analysis and continuous improvement.
  • Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned.


Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, operations research, or related area
  • 5+ years of experience in a production planning, logistics and materials handling
  • 3+ years in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment
  • Approximately 10% travel
  • Must be available to work various shifts if needed and be able to work nights, weekends, and overtime to cover absences or provide additional support.

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook required

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Must be able to work in a cold environment when needed
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Temperature: The production floor is maintained at approximately 4O F.; in other areas, the temperature level is moderate. Freezer areas are zero degrees or colder.
  • Noise: When the incumbent goes on to the production floor, ear protection is required; in other areas, noise level is moderate.
