We partner with US and Canadian public sector organizations to help them stay ahead of the innovation curve. Our technology solutions, proven best practices and execution excellence enable our clients to renew themselves and build new capabilities to improve mission outcomes.

We are pushing the limit of what is currently possible – towards completely new areas and then executing these ideas to perfection.

We are currently seeking a Java Technical Manager to join IPS.

Position Description (scope of work or brief narrative):

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a critical project within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in Java, Spring, Angular, and AWS PostgreSQL, along with excellent project management skills. This role involves managing a cross-functional team, ensuring successful project delivery, and aligning technology solutions with business objectives.

Responsibilities:

Project Leadership:

  • Lead end-to-end project execution, from planning to delivery, ensuring adherence to timelines, scope, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project goals, requirements, and success criteria.
  • Manage project risks, issues, and dependencies effectively.

Technology Expertise:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Java/J2EE, Spring, Angular, and AWS PostgreSQL.
  • Provide technical guidance to the development team, ensuring best practices and efficient code delivery.
  • Evaluate and recommend technology solutions based on project requirements.

Team Management:

  • Build and lead a high-performing development team.
  • Foster a collaborative environment, encouraging innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and mentor team members.

Process Optimization:

  • Streamline development processes, ensuring efficiency and quality.
  • Drive continuous integration and deployment practices.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Communicate project status, risks, and achievements to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate effective collaboration between technical and non-technical teams.

Organizational Alignment:

  • Understand organizational goals and align project outcomes accordingly.
  • Good understanding of Infosys systems (Alcon, PBS, OMS, Quality, etc)

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive, relevant work experience instead of every year of education. Candidates who have completed a Master’s degree program are strongly preferred.

The job also entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face-to-face.

IPS strictly complies with U.S. employment verification and anti-discrimination laws.
