  • We facilitate patient-physician connections through innovative approaches as a component of Optum and with our novel Specialty Management Solutions segment.
  • We have spearheaded a physician-driven, multi-site practice model that revitalizes physician autonomy by aligning incentives to foster growth and transition to value-based care.
  • We are at the forefront in offering value-based payment solutions via our Global 1 bundled payment coordinator, delivering transparent billing to patients effortlessly.

Responsibilities

This role encompasses steering cross-functional strategic initiatives, projects, and priorities crucial for the business, and key projects at the functional level (non-IT). The incumbent is required to possess hands-on expertise in managing functional and cross-functional programs and projects in collaboration with functional leaders and various subject matter experts possessing diverse backgrounds and communication approaches. The individual will ensure the successful and timely completion of functional and cross-functional programs and projects with appropriate quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, guide, and orchestrate cross-functional and intricate strategic programs, projects, objectives, and operational goals and initiatives.
  • Directly collaborate with functional leadership to aid in formulating and supervising strategic business projects, understanding critical dependencies keenly, fostering connectivity across project teams, and ensuring accurate communication.
  • Act as an intermediary and cohesive agent between diverse functional and cross-functional teams to guarantee alignment and comprehension of project/initiative/program scope.
  • Tackle convoluted issues and translate ideas into actionable strategies.
  • Offer consultations and serve as a trusted resource and idea collaborator for functional and cross-functional leaders with initiatives not requiring project manager resources.
  • Support, cultivate, and capitalize on key facets of change management and communication tools and resources.
  • Collaborate with the internal Business Operations unit to preserve and augment insights and best practices post every project and initiative or consultation to explore avenues for consistent process enhancement.
  • Foster relationships and sustain communication with core stakeholders.
  • Oversee related platforms/sites established to bolster key initiatives.
  • Execute all other relevant duties as delegated.
Qualifications

Education and Experience Essential for Success

  • BS in Business Administration, General Business, Finance, Accounting mandatory
  • 5-7 years of project management background
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, encompassing Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Preferably Six Sigma, CAPM, or PMP certified
  • Healthcare or physician practice experience imperative
  • Must possess Project Management expertise
  • Demonstrated track record in managing enterprise-wide complex projects
