Overall Role:

LaserAway is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner (HRBP) to join our dynamic and fast-paced organization. As a HRBP, you will be responsible for providing strategic HR support to our distributed workforce and leaders across multiple units in various states across the US. Your expertise in employee relations (ER) and investigations, along with your excellent communication skills, will be crucial in promoting a positive work environment and ensuring compliance with relevant labor laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic HR Support: Act as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to leaders and managers across the organization, providing guidance and support on all HR matters, including employee relations, performance management, talent development, and organizational design.

Employee Relations: Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, including conducting investigations, documenting findings, and recommending appropriate corrective actions. Ensure adherence to company policies and relevant employment laws.

Investigations: Conduct thorough and impartial investigations into employee complaints, concerns, or allegations, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Document findings, develop appropriate action plans, and provide guidance to management on resolution strategies.

Workforce Planning and Development: Collaborate with leaders to identify workforce needs, develop talent acquisition strategies, and implement succession planning initiatives. Partner with HR centers of excellence to support talent development, training, and performance management programs.

Change Management: Assist in driving organizational change initiatives by providing change management expertise, including stakeholder analysis, communication planning, and training support. Help facilitate smooth transitions and minimize disruption during organizational changes.

HR Policy and Compliance: Stay up to date with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, ensuring HR policies, practices, and procedures are compliant. Advise management on necessary policy updates and provide training to employees on HR-related topics as needed.

HR Data Analysis: Utilize HR systems and tools to analyze workforce data, identify trends, and provide insights to inform strategic decision-making. Generate regular reports on key HR metrics and present findings to management.

Key Traits Required:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an HR Business Partner or in a similar HR role.
  • Experience working with an hourly, distributed workforce across multiple units and various states in the USA.
  • Strong background in employee relations and conducting investigations.
  • Ability to travel to locations in the region, including driving to multiple locations in each week.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience in change management and driving organizational change initiatives.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and data analysis.
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
