The Revenue Specialist will be responsible for monitoring and recording invoicing activity in accordance with established company practices and timelines.
Essential Duties and Functions:

- Review insurance documents and enter agency bill transactions into agency management system.
- Maintain customer set-up in agency management system.
- Prepare and submit customer invoices.
- Post transactions to journals, ledgers, and other records.
- Collaborate with client teams and insurance carriers to resolve transaction errors.
- Assists with day-to-day accounting functions with client teams.
- Responsible for first outreach regarding past due/bad debt collections.
- Research and correct errors involving posting of misapplied/unapplied funds.
- Build courteous and successful relationships with internal and external business partners.
- Develop and maintain efficient practices.
- Promote teamwork, support, knowledge sharing and a positive attitude in the department and office.
- Participate in training opportunities to remain current on industry information, new product development, legislation, coverages, and technology including professional development and continuing education.
- Cross-trained in accounting functions to help fill-in covering vacations, illness, or any other absence.
- Other duties as assigned.

Required
- High School Diploma and/or GED with 2 to 3 years' experience directly related to the duties listed above.
- Experience in general accounting.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Candidate must be self-directed and highly motivated.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Consistent, reliable, attention to detail.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- This position will include job duties that require risk designations for access to Electronic Protected Health Information (PHI) in the course of their job responsibilities.
- Associate degree in a business or financial related discipline
- Five years accounting experience
- Experience with Agency Management Financial Reporting System (AMS 360 Voyager)
