Responsibilities:
The Practice Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Practice Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of their assigned clinic.

Works through and solves patient issues professionally and in a timely manner.

Answers phones, takes, and relays phone messages for the respective areas in a clear and concise manner.

Ensures front office space, supplies, and equipment are maintained, consistent with UVVC standards. Place supply orders if needed.

Verifies and updates patient demographics and ensures accurate patient and insurance information.

Identifies whether patient needs referral and/or authorization and obtains referral and/or authorization when necessary.


Works in conjunction with Practice Manager to ensure the clinic is running smoothly and efficiently; acts as back up when needed.

Assists other areas within the clinic as needed.

Maintains complete and up-to-date documentation and files at all times.

Qualifications:
2+ years' experience in a front desk or Office Manager role within a healthcare clinic.

Supervisory experience preferred.

Thorough knowledge of medical terminology.

Flexibility and adaptability to schedules, responsibilities, and priorities.

Must have empathy for patients and be an exceptional listener.


Ability to collaborate with and serve patients, physicians, peers, and all team members with a positive attitude and a friendly demeanor.

Superior customer service, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Strong computer skills and working knowledge of MS Office.

Familiarity working with an EHR, preferably eClinicalWorks.

Must have excellent organization skills and multi-tasking abilities.

Sharp-minded, eager to learn, with a proven attention to detail.

Dependable; able to meet reliable attendance and punctuality standards for the role.
