Position Overview

AECOM is in search of a Mid-to Senior Level BIM Coordinator to support our dynamic Aviation Technology Department.

This department is a collaborative group of architects, engineers, GIS specialists, and programmers dedicated to serving major airport clients globally.

As a BIM Coordinator, your primary role will involve assisting project teams by utilizing BIM and GIS technologies, along with Digital Twin applications tailored for large-scale airport projects.

The BIM Coordinator will apply extensive knowledge of AEC industry standards, tools, and methodologies to enhance workflow collaboration and efficiency across various stages of Digital Delivery, including Design, Construction, Asset Management, and Capital Planning.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support for a range of Digital Delivery technologies.
  • Participate as a resource and team member throughout all phases of design, construction, and operational projects.
  • Stay updated on design software, industry advancements in integrated practices, and relevant techniques.
  • Engage in research of emerging technologies.
  • Assist in the setup and analysis of complex modeling, data management, and optimization for 2D-6D digital workflows.
  • Facilitate coordination between external vendors and internal teams.
  • Contribute to the development, testing, and implementation of digital delivery tools and services.
  • Oversee project-level Common Data Environment (CDE) management and associated workflows, ensuring compliance with project standards.
  • Evaluate BIM capacity and capability of the supply chain during proposal and bidding phases.
  • Promote standardization of BIM processes and tools within delivery teams and the supply chain.
  • Review BIM Execution Plans from appointed parties, ensuring the integrity of contractor's BIM processes and data quality.
  • Ensure institutionalization of CDE workflows related to design management, construction management, and change control at the project level.
  • Support Model Review and Clash Management sessions with the Digital Delivery and AEC supply chain.
  • Conduct project-specific training and talent development as needed.
