Job Description:

Our client is looking for a Project Manager to oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. The Project Manager will review the status of projects and budgets, manage schedules, and prepare status reports. The Project Manager will assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. The Project Manager will develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, clients, and other stakeholders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop integrated project plans and schedules and identify resource dependencies across the organization.
  • Review status of project scope, schedule, resources, and budgets, and prepare status reports.
  • Assess project risks and issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
  • Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with stakeholders.
  • Monitor and control all changes to the overall project and facilitate regular governance processes to ensure proper evaluation of impact.
  • Facilitate the analysis of system capabilities and identify gaps between business needs and existing processes and systems.
  • Facilitate the documentation of business requirements from key stakeholders and support the translation into functional systems requirements.
  • Conduct effective communications for pending changes (including policies and procedures), ensure issues are driven to action, all parties are informed of the project status, key stakeholders are consulted, and commitments are understood.
  • Facilitate the testing and validation of new systems, upgrades, and patches and plan, execute, and document results.
  • Conduct related training as required and acts as change agent, coaching business leaders to drive organizational transformation, business process change, and adoption of solution.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Management Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5 years of experience managing similar initiatives with exposure to procurement, business process analysis and design, and/or supply chain.
  • Experience in change management leading large, complex, and transformational programs.
  • Solid understanding of SDLC models (Agile and Waterfall) and the knowledge and practices of how to blend for the right business fit.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects and programs using a hybrid methodology (blended Agile and Waterfall methodology).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels for both internal and external personnel and suppliers.
  • Ability to use data to drive strategic decision conversations.
  • Excellent presentation skills to leadership and capable of working with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to translate, present complex data, and concepts in a simple way to drive action.
  • Critical thinking, problem solving, and communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment along with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Hands on experience with project management tools including Microsoft Project, Jira, etc.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or progress towards obtaining PMP certification is preferred.
  • Agile certification is a plus (SAFe, CSDM, CSPO, etc.).
  • Due to the nature of the work, an Interim clearance is required, however an active Secret clearance is highly preferred.
