**Primary Purpose of this position:**

The Director of Strategic Communications develops and implements external and some internal communications strategies and solutions that drive business success. This partenr will act as strategic, hands-on business partner that counsels and supports the Beverage Packaging North and Central America (BPNCA) President and Executive Leadership team to advance business objectives, bolster culture, and deliver results. The Director will strengthen and protect Ball's reputation among BPNCA stakeholders, playing a pivotal role in building affinity for Ball and aluminum beverage cans.

**What you will be responsible for:**

+ Develops strategies and activities to inform and engage BPNCA employees, help them understand how they contribute to the organization's success and strengthening their connection to the business and to each other.

+ Advises the BPNCA Executive Leadership team on communication strategies and tactics aligned with business objectives

+ As member of the global Communications leadership team, collaborates closely with corporate and regional Communications teams to align overarching approaches, maximize resources, and share best practices.

+ Leads message development around key milestones/announcements and provides support to the executive leadership team.

+ Works closely with the commercial/marketing teams regarding customer communications, both for proactive/positive communications and for crises/issues management. In addition, shares product news, customer successes, etc. internally to help employees better understand the voice of the customer. Takes holistic approach to crafting and executing NCA's storytelling platform in connection with the enterprise-wide strategy and story, including earned, owned, and digital/social media. Serves as external spokesperson for the region as needed.

+ Maximizes trade show/event participation, identifying and securing speaking opportunities/interviews and conducting targeted campaigns as appropriate to underscore Ball's leadership role in the beverage industry.

+ Serves as a member on the Company crisis communication team and contributes to the Companys crisis response planning, providing proactive anticipation of issues and real-time responses during crises. Ensures appropriate level of preparedness through coordinated training and support aligned with Ball's enterprise plan.

+ Manages and supports consistent implementation of Ball's brand identity across the region and works with the global Communications organization to leverage Ball social channels and owned media to inspire confidence in Ball and its leaders.

+ Directs the activities of outside vendor partners to ensure the finished project supports the divisional objectives while monitoring quality and cost effectiveness.

**What are we looking for?**

+ Minimum of a Bachelors degree in Communications, Public Relations, or related field.

+ 7-10 Years experience in strategy development and execution of internal and external comms.

+ Strong written and verbal communication

+ Ability to influence, including challenging and counseling senior executives

+ Proficient in multi-tasking and navigating change and ambiguity

+ Ability to operate in fast-paced matrix environment

+ Flexible self-starter, energetic team player and collaborator

**Working knowledge of the following areas:**

+ Strong general business acumen as well as Communications expertise

+ Understanding of how global companies and matrix organizations operate

+ Knowledge of communications tools and channels to engage internal and external stakeholders, especially in manufacturing environment

**Compensation & Benefits:**

+ This role is based in Westminster, COand requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site for four (4) or more days per work week (with core collaboration days of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday). Travel and local commute between Ball locations and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.

+ **Hiring Salary Range:** $123, ,245 (Salary to be determined by the applicants education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)

+ This role will be eligible to participate in the annual incentive compensation plan.
