We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Attorney Director to join our team at Maxar Technologies. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a critical role in providing strategic legal guidance and support to our business teams.
Key Responsibilities- Commercial Contracting: Review, draft, and negotiate complex commercial agreements with enterprise customers and company vendors.
- Government Contracting: Review, draft, and negotiate Government contracts and subcontracts.
- Intellectual Property: Review, draft, and negotiate imagery and software licenses and intellectual property agreements.
- Business Development: Advise Product on the rollout of new products and support third-party product distribution agreements.
- Agreement Management: Manage agreements and disputes in a manner that complies with Company policies and risk tolerance.
- Legal Advice: Provide clear and understandable legal advice to various groups, including Sales, Procurement, Product, Marketing, IT, and Communications.
- Education: JD degree from an accredited law school.
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years of attorney work experience in commercial contracts, Government contracts, intellectual property matters, business development, and technology transactions.
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
- Commercial Contracting: Extensive background in drafting and facilitating services agreements, sales agreements, licenses, and intellectual property agreements.
- Government Contracting: Experience negotiating Government contracts and ability to obtain a security clearance.
- CLM Tools: Experience leveraging CLM tools, including AI.
- Project Management: Ability to manage a diverse portfolio of projects under tight timelines.
- Collaboration: Proven ability to work collaboratively.
- Law Firm Experience: Law firm and in-house transactional experience.
- Travel: Ability to travel as needed.
We offer a comprehensive package of benefits, including paid time off, health and welfare insurance, and 401(k) to eligible employees. The salary range for this position is $142,000.00 - $302,000.00 annually.
