Essential Functions

Continuously driving four pillars within our Quality structure in the areas of Food Safety, Quality Management, Quality Excellence, and Quality Control.

Establish and develop a qualified and motivated North America Quality team by leading, assessing, and developing employees.
Ensure food safety and product quality by means of reliable and efficient analyses and release processes.
Act as the primary contact person for authorities, customers, and auditors related to product quality questions and issues.
Effectively drive efficient Quality investigations including internal root cause analysis and direct customer responses. Ensure the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions for all quality-related events.

Plan personnel, material, and financial resources, adhering to the approved budget and introducing suitable measures to counteract potential and actual deviations.

Implement and lead a program of continuous improvement for the Quality function.
Communicate effectively with key stakeholders.
Define and implement effective policies and procedures on hygiene, HACCP, food safety, occupational safety, and environmental monitoring.
Help to develop and implement general standards and key performance indicators.
Decide on the appropriate disposition of materials deviating from the specification or approaching the end of shelf-life. Ensure that these materials are disposed accordingly.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.

The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is occasionally exposed to wet, warm, humid and cold temperatures.

The employee is frequently required to sit; occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days can vary depending on production schedule.
Travel
Approximately 25%
Required Qualifications
Graduate in Food Technology, Engineering, Chemistry, or similar technical field.
5+ years of professional experience in direct customer interactions related to Quality Audits and complaint management.
10+ years of professional experience, at least five of which in a Quality management position.
Strong strategic and analytical thinking.
Diplomatic negotiation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
CSP and Food Defense certification.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with SAP.
performing risk assessments and audits. FSSC 22000, SQFI, AIB, or similar GFSI standard.
Experience working in a TPM, TQM, or Lean organization, along with a working knowledge of those tools.
