Summary

Metal Sales Manufacturing Corporation is well-known for being one of the largest producers of metal roof and wall panels for residential and commercial buildings. Currently, we are in search of a skilled Territory Sales Manager with experience in the Building Products sector to support our Mocksville, NC plant. The ideal candidate will have the expertise to enhance territory profitability, strategically position Metal Sales products, and build relationships across various customer channels and market segments. Preferred candidates will be based in Virginia.

Virginia and Southern West Virginia are the main areas for this role. Expect to travel up to 75% of the time.

You'll be tasked with (including but not limited to):

  • Handling distributor and contractor sales in the assigned territory
  • Regularly visiting customers to maintain relationships
  • Initiating new customer activities to drive business growth
  • Offering top-level customer service and follow-up on inquiries
  • Collaborating with sales, customer service, estimators, and operations teams
  • Providing quotes and managing pricing effectively
  • Sharing insights on industry trends and competition
  • Reporting demand forecast regularly for inventory planning
  • Achieving monthly forecasts
  • Conducting site visits to address field issues
  • Conducting product knowledge training sessions
  • Staying updated on industry trends through trade journals and events
  • Utilizing CRM tools for territory management

The ideal candidates will have:

  • 3 years of outside sales experience in building materials
  • A degree in business or marketing
  • Experience with sales and estimating of metal roof and wall panels
  • Proven track record in sales processes
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, with a focus on customer satisfaction
  • Commitment to integrity and high ethical standards
  • Passion for contributing to a growing company
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software
  • Willingness to travel
  • Valid driver's license
