Position Overview:

Our Shop Assistant/Internal Welder plays an integral role in managing our materials and supplies on our yard. This position is responsible for maintaining our inventory, putting job lots together for the Install Team, receiving/verifying deliveries, ensuring that the yard is clean and organized overall, and welding custom gates. This position frequently works independently, therefore, the ideal candidate will be able to hold themselves accountable and manage their time in order to complete all daily tasks.

Pay: Starting at $18/hour

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • A valid driver's license
  • Clean driving record
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Pass a background check
  • Pass a drug test
  • Dependability is a must
  • Welding Experience

Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience with a bobcat, skidsteer, or forklift is preferred
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks (typically up to 80 lbs)
  • Ability to weld custom gate frames
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools
  • Experience in construction and carpentry or willing to learn
  • Knowledge of frame carpentry and welding techniques preferred
  • Familiarity with concrete forming and finishing preferred
  • Certification in welding or carpentry is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Effective organizational, time management and planning skills
  • Consistently work at a productive pace
  • Focus on superior outcomes, and calibrate work processes for outstanding results
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
