-Assists with day-to-day, monthly, and year-end operations of the Accounting/Finance Department

-Perform general accounts analysis and reconciliations, including bank statements, fixed assets, employers benefit costs, accruals, and prepaid expenses

-Assist in the preparation of financial reports such as financial statements and budget performance

-Prepares consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from department.

-Analyses information and options by developing spreadsheet reports, verifying information.

-Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files, reconciling accounts.

-Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.

-Supports accounts payable activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness of invoice creation and entry.

-Regularly maintains detailed reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts.

-Prepares documentation for external auditors.

-Daily reconciliation of cash flows and verification of bank balances.

-Performs monthly bank settlements.

-Maintenance of Project Costing

Skills:

Accounting, cost accounting, GAAP, Financial reporting, General ledger, Financial statement, Reconciliation

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

-Bachelors degree; accounting or finance a plus

-3+ years of experience managing transactional accounting tasks in a public or privately held organization

-Previous experience in a manufacturing environment working with inventory

-Experience with journal entries, monthly and year end close

-Must be proficient in Excel
