Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of strategic account plans at key named accounts.

  • Cultivate relationships with priority customer stakeholders, gain insights into their key business challenges, and propose innovative solutions to add value.
  • Act as a liaison between the field and Global Accounts teams, facilitating the pursuit of new agreements, Value-Add initiatives, and expanding customer wallet-share.
  • Maintain and manage a robust pipeline of opportunities at named accounts, including renewals, projects, and avenues for increasing market share.
  • Report customer activity, opportunity status, renewal updates, and progress on strategic plans to the management.
  • Lead solution development efforts tailored to meet customer needs effectively.
  • Collaborate with supplier sales resources to leverage their expertise and develop customized solutions.
  • Demonstrate expertise in strategic selling and spearhead high-level sales engagements, providing valuable pre and post-call coaching to the branch sales team.

Qualifications:

  • High School Degree or Equivalent required; Bachelors Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven sales experience in managing large account portfolios as a strategic account manager.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in handling multiple stakeholders and projects concurrently.
  • Track record of success in nurturing and expanding key relationships.
  • Proficiency in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership practices, production methods, and efficient coordination of people and resources.
  • Ability to identify potential growth areas within assigned accounts and proactively create opportunities.
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal abilities with a knack for fostering enduring client relationships.
  • Strong negotiation skills and adept at problem-solving.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Self-motivated and capable of performing effectively under pressure.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.
