Senior Accountant Responsibilities:We are in search of a highly proficient and driven Senior Accountant to become part of our team.
Reporting directly to the Corporate Controller, the Senior Accountant will be instrumental in maintaining precise financial records, supporting various business operations, and contributing to the overall success of our organization.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a blend of technical proficiency and strong communication abilities.Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 4 PM Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare job cost journal entries and other miscellaneous general ledger entries.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts with various sub-ledgers.
- Prepare monthly journal entries for fixed asset and lease accounting, ensuring documentation for new acquisitions and disposals of fixed assets and leases is maintained.
- Assist with Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) functions as required.
- Conduct standard and ad hoc analyses to aid operations in problem-solving and decision-making processes.
- Monitor compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company policies.
- Support the annual financial audit process.
- Implement and/or enhance policies and procedures.
- Utilize advanced Excel skills, including vlookups and pivot tables, to analyze financial data and support decision-making processes.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and clear communication while interacting with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Exhibit high emotional intelligence and the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic work environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA designation preferred, but not mandatory.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in general accounting, financial statement preparation, and cost accounting.
- Background in public accounting or auditing is preferred.
- Experience in the construction industry is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
