This position reports in-office 5 days a week 8am - 5pm at the Glen Mills, PA headquarters.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform monthly accounting close for various entities with mid-level complexity in Great Plains.
  • Record journal entries in Great Plains related to all ACS entity activity including income and expense accruals as necessary.
  • Perform daily cash and monthly reconciliations of various balance sheet accounts.
  • Send book and wire transfer requests to Applied Bank for processing.
  • Perform allowance for loan loss calculation and maintain files and documentation that are a part of the allowance calculation process.
  • Assist in the quarterly production of Risk Committee and Board of Directors meeting reports and materials.
  • Participate in and take ownership of specific areas of the annual budget and financial planning process as assigned.
  • Compile data and information in support of annual financial statement audit by external auditors.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements for assigned entities that may require formatting in Excel.
  • Support month-end close through timely and accurate account reconciliations as well as other assigned duties.
  • Maintain schedule of loans between affiliated entities and prepare cash transfer requests as interest payments become due.
  • Perform timely follow-up on outstanding matters identified through the reconciliation and review processes.
  • Identify and escalate issues timely.
  • Draft and maintain thorough and detailed procedures for daily work processes.
  • Exercises discretion and independent judgment in the performance of accounting responsibilities.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Excellent organizational, motivational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office, or a comparable software program, is also required.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet program.
  • Experience with Great Plains a plus.

Education & Work Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Accounting from an accredited four year college or university
* - 4 years relevant work experience desired (including internships)
